A private wine collection under Prestige Vin advisory

Private collection counsel · Appraisal · Cellar Direction

    Your collection,made legible.

Most cellars I open are half memory and half guesswork: cases nobody logged, a spreadsheet two years stale, and four bottles past their window. In about three weeks you'll know what you own, what's ready, what to buy next, and what an insurer would accept.

    Why it's worth doing

A cellar should be a pleasure, not a filing problem. The work is to turn the bottles, the paperwork, and the value into three or four decisions you can actually make this year.

    The advice answersonly to you.

    01

    What do I own?

A clean inventory, condition review, provenance notes, and a collection record you can actually use.

    02

    What should I open?

Drinking windows, priority bottles, occasion guidance, and a current pull list across every property.

    03

    What should I acquire?

A written plan shaped by your palate, cellar, budget, and the producers worth pursuing.

    04

    What is it worth?

Independent valuation and USPAP-compliant appraisal for insurance, estate, donation, or sale.

    Private questions

    Before wetake inventory.

How large does a collection need to be?

There is no formal bottle minimum. The right threshold is complexity: when the collection, properties, value, drinking windows, insurance needs, or acquisition decisions are no longer well served by memory and scattered records.

    Can Prestige Vin work remotely?

Yes. Collection reviews, acquisition plans, drinking-window work, and ongoing counsel can be delivered remotely worldwide. Physical inventories, condition reviews, and formal appraisal inspections are arranged in person where required.

    Are your appraisals independent?

Yes. Appraisal fees are flat or hourly as USPAP requires, never a percentage of value. Prestige Vin does not buy the collection, hold inventory, or earn a resale commission from the valuation conclusion.

    How does acquisition counsel work?

You approve the search and budget. Our disclosed sourcing fee is 10% of purchase price, and nothing else. You purchase directly from licensed retailers or auction houses; Prestige Vin holds no inventory and takes no hidden seller compensation.

    What is the Prestige Cellar?

It is the private digital home for your collection, drinking windows, recommendations, valuations, and advisory record. The public app can be used independently; retained advisory clients receive a privileged, maintained layer connected to their work with the house.

Can you manage collections across several homes?

Yes. We can maintain one collection record across residences and storage facilities, with location-specific bin records, condition notes, transfers, pull lists, and purchasing guidance.

A limited number of retained collections are accepted
