A private study prepared for independent wine counsel

    The House Standards

We never sell wine. That is the point.

Prestige Vin is paid for judgment and the work required to carry it through—not for moving inventory. The terms are visible and agreed before we begin.

    What we put in writing

Trust should not depend on tone. These rules sit behind every recommendation and engagement.

    Nothing importantleft implied.

    01

    You own every bottle

Every purchase is made in your name directly from a licensed retailer or auction house. Prestige Vin never takes title or custody.

    02

    The fee is disclosed

Professional fees, sourcing fees, retainers, and third-party costs are stated before the work begins.

    03

There is no inventory to move

I carry no stock, earn no shelf margin, and have no commercial reason to recommend one bottle over another.

    04

    The record remains yours

Invoices, provenance, condition notes, valuations, plans, and collection records remain available to you.

    05

I don't talk about my clients

Not by name, not by initial, not “a collector in Palm Beach.” No client appears on this website, in a case study, or in a conversation with another client. It is why there are no testimonials here.

    Custody

    Your wine. Your name.Your receipts.

I never take title, possession, or custody of your wine — not for a week, not in transit, not “for safekeeping.” Provenance starts with a clean receipt in your own name, and that receipt is what a buyer or an insurer will ask for in ten years.

    How I am paid

    Visiblecompensation.

    Acquisition counsel

10% of purchase price, and nothing else

Our sourcing fee is paid by you, disclosed before we search, and is the only compensation we take. We hold no inventory, accept no retailer margin, and take no referral fees — so the bottle we recommend is only ever the right bottle.

    Standing counsel

Cellar Direction from $500 per month

Ongoing counsel for a living collection: acquisition strategy, allocation hunting, drinking-window management, records, and gifting on call.

    Defined work

A fixed professional fee by written scope

The deliverable, timeline, assumptions, and third-party costs are agreed before the engagement begins.

    Questions of alignment

    The standard,plainly stated.

    What does client-aligned mean?+

It means Prestige Vin is compensated by the client under a disclosed agreement. We do not accept hidden retailer margin, auction referral fees, producer incentives, or marketplace compensation for directing a recommendation.

Does Prestige Vin ever sell or store wine?+

No. Prestige Vin does not act as a retailer, auction house, warehouse, or investment custodian. Bottles are purchased and stored in your name through licensed providers you approve.

Can you still source rare wine?+

Yes. The house searches retailers, importers, auction houses, and trusted trade relationships on your behalf. The difference is that our compensation is disclosed to you and not hidden inside the seller's price.

    Why publish starting fees?+

Because fit requires financial clarity. A client should be able to understand the likely level of engagement before sharing private details or investing time in a conversation.

Advice is only usefulwhen the alignment is clear.
